KSBR Oy has begun the construction of a 414-space parking garage at Koskensilta in Tuusula. 

The foundations for the parking garage, at the corner of Hyryläntie and Koskensillantie, have been cast since August. Preparatory work on the frame began in week 40. The building’s frame will be completed in January 2026. 

“The project has begun, and for the rest of the year we’ll focus on erecting the frame. Facade installations and building services engineering will happen in January,” explains KSBR Project Manager Marko Koskinen. 

A moderately large project, the Koskensilta parking garage comprises 4.5 floors and a total of approximately 12,000 square meters. During the project’s busiest period, approximately 30 people will be working at the site simultaneously.

The start of the parking garage project was slightly delayed, but according to Koskinen, the construction schedule will stay on track. 

“Building in a populated area always comes with its own little challenges. There’s a lot of housing, traffic, and other construction sites in the area, but we’ve still managed to get a lot of work done.” 

The Koskensilta parking garage will be handed over to the client, the municipality of Tuusula, in June 2026. KSBR will handle the entire turnkey construction project, beginning with the initial design. 

“When the parking garage – which will also include public parking spaces – is completed, the parking situation in the Hyrylä area will improve significantly,” says Marko Koskinen – who’s already looking ahead to next summer.
