KSBR carried out the concrete casting for the wastewater treatment plant at Metsä Fibre’s Kemi bioproduct mill, part of Metsä Group. 

The contract included on-site casting of four massive pools, the largest of which was over 100 metres in diameter and nearly 12 metres high. In addition, we built a number of structures related to wastewater treatment. Earthworks were also included in the unit price contract.  

Formwork 46,600 m³, iron 3,255,000 kg, concrete 29,000 m³, rebar 270,000 rm, backfilling 75,000 m³ (theoretical volume).  Read more about the project here.
