The joint journey of GRK and KSBR begins – stronger competence for demanding projects
KSBR (Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne Oy) and GRK Infra Oyj announced in May that they had signed an agreement under which GRK would acquire KSBR together with its subsidiaries. The conditions set for the completion of the transaction have now been fulfilled, and the acquisition has been finalized. KSBR will become part of the GRK Group.
The acquisition supports the profitable growth strategies of both KSBR and GRK. KSBR strengthens GRK’s expertise particularly in demanding concrete structures, projects in the industrial, energy, and data center sectors, as well as infrastructure construction for the private sector. The acquisition will provide us with even better resources to grow and achieve our strategic goals.
KSBR continues independently
KSBR will continue to operate as a company of its own and daily life will continue as before. Our goal is to combine expertise and resources and ensure a clear and uniform operating method for the customer.
– Today, we officially get to welcome KSBR’s employees to GRK. It’s great to have such strong professionals on board. The acquisition supports GRK’s growth strategy by strengthening our position in private sector projects and technically demanding construction. By combining our expertise, we can implement even larger projects in the industrial and energy sectors and offer our customers an even broader service package, says Mika Mäenpää, CEO of GRK.
Shared commitment to quality and people
Marko Leppänen, CEO of KSBR, also sees significant opportunities in the acquisition:
– Early in the process, we particularly emphasised the compatibility of our operating cultures. Both companies have strong professional expertise, an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to carry out demanding projects with high quality. Another shared value is the appreciation of one’s own personnel. I believe that together we will be able to offer our employees and customers more opportunities in the future.
