International ISO certification for KSBR’s management system

Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne Oy’s certificate collection culminated this spring when we received ISO 45001 certification in addition to the previous ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The latest certificate tells about our significant investments in occupational safety and health.

The certificates confirm that KSBR meets strict international management system standards. At ISO 45001, the company is committed to a management model in which occupational health and safety is continuously improved and is part of everyday operations.

”During the certification process that lasted about a year, we integrated the new occupational health and safety management system (OSH) into our operating system. Now, for example, we are taking occupational safety risks more widely into account and emphasizing the involvement of personnel in the evaluation and development of OSH issues”, says KSBR’s quality system developer, project engineer Hanna-Kaisa Vesa.

The standardized model is used to develop the company’s safety culture and to prevent accidents and sick leave. The certification was based on an assessment carried out by DNV, one of the world’s best-known certification bodies. The ISO 45001 standard has been in force since 2018 and is not only a good tool for developing the company’s operations but also an important message to customers and stakeholders.

”The certifications show that KSBR does much more than is necessary for quality and reliability. They are an important part of responsibility and continuous development of operations”, Vesa says.
